| PARENT-TEACHER
RELATIONSHIPS
Parents
and teachers make up very important teams in
the educational world. A good working relationship
between a parent and a teacher greatly enhances
the chances for a student to reach his/her highest
potential.
Parents
and teachers need to communicate with one another
in a way which fosters respect and support for
all parties involved. Because of our sinful
nature, there may be times when conflicts or
misunderstandings arise. If these situations
arise, parents are to:
First
- Discuss the matter with the teacher and try
to resolve the problem.
Second
- If the parent and the teacher cannot resolve
the matter between themselves, the matter should
be brought to the attention of the principal.
Third
- If the matter is still not resolved, it may
be brought to the attention of the Board of
Christian Education by contacting the chairman.
If
the matter is to be brought to a meeting of
the Board of Christian Education, the parent
should contact either the Board of Christian
Education chairman or the principal and request
to be put on the agenda for the next meeting.
If
the matter is brought to the Board of Christian
Education, the Board would like to have both parents
and teacher present at the meeting.
